We are honored to announce the retirement of one of our esteemed colleagues, past DIA President and Detroit transportation icon, Linda Ferguson. Linda retired this year from WWL, contracted by Ford Motor Company. Linda worked for Patton Steamship, Great Lakes European, Norton Lilly, COSCO, and Schenker during her tenure, to name a few. Linda’s knowledge and passion for the transportation industry and the lives that she touched will be irreplaceable. We wish Linda all the best for her retirement with much love and respect.
On behalf of your colleagues and friends in the industry, congratulations and best wishes to Jim Gannon on your retirement! Jim’s career began in 1972 with a clerical position at Cleveland Stevedore Company in Cleveland, OH. His interest in the industry led to a sales and marketing position in 1981 at Kerr Steamship that ultimately brought him and his family to the Detroit area. For the past 29 years, Jim Gannon has served as President of Trans-Overseas Corporation. During his tenure, Jim has traveled the world developing new business opportunities and promoting our industry as a whole. He also served as an Officer and Board Member of the OFA-DIA , Vice President of the OFA of Detroit and was an active member of the DCBFA. Anyone who knows Jim has a great appreciation for his work ethic, knowledge, dedication, friendship and especially his sense of humor. Jim knows how to have fun, there’s a story behind every picture and we look forward to hearing about his new adventures in retirement! Again, congratulations from all of us and as Jim would say ”’nuff said.”
